PERSONAL NOTES

There’s a strong chance that I wind up in Jersey City next month. I’m finally ready for a one bedroom and I’ve been looking into a lot of neighborhoods from Brooklyn to Manhattan to NJ. What I’ve found is that if I want to live in NYC, I’m looking at a studio shoebox or a one bedroom apartment that’ll gut my savings. But then I looked into this new area that I haven’t seen much of in Jersey City and look, reasonably priced one bedroom apartments! Some have balconies and backyards! And it’s actually an easy trip to Brooklyn when I want to visit. Hoboken was a beast of a trip but this is very doable since it runs through WTC instead of Midtown.

Plus, I’m really warming up to downtown Jersey City. I feel good whenever I go there and I found very good eateries that will keep me happy for awhile.

I could also keep rooming with someone in Brooklyn but I’ve had bad luck with roommates since one of my good roommates was replaced by bro roommate. That was the worst of it by far but I’m thrilled about setting up my own space for once.
