Internet Week proved to be even less exciting to those on the sidelines than SXSW was: generally self-congratulatory and an excuse to get boozed over. Great, for all intensive purposes, but is anything actually happening?
I could name one reason why the NYC tumblr scene has disappointed me, and it’s the lack of stuff happening from people who are extremely talented in various fields. For some reason, I was very excited for potential collaborations from people who met up that first time in Fat Cat, and it seems to have been the same old stuff for the most part. We have some nice creative enterprises, some minor time wasters, and plenty of bar meetups. Can we do more? If not, I’ll see you all at the bar.
